Her background also includes a Bachelor of Arts (University of Galway), Higher Diploma in Education (UCD) and a Bachelor of Laws (UL). She is currently working as a tutor on the Professional Master of Education (PME) at DCU.

She has experience in working in both Further Education and Higher Education.
